Collaborations and Campaigns to Raise Awareness of Asthma and Allergic Conditions

The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) works with other organizations to raise awareness about asthma and allergic conditions. Here are some of AAFA’s latest collaborations.

ACT for Asthma and Allergy

The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) and the MedicAlert Foundation raise awareness about asthma and anaphylaxis. The goal of this campaign is to help you manage your conditions and prevent life-threatening medical emergencies.

Food Allergy Collaborative

AAFA is a member of the Food Allergy Collaborative (external link). Launched in 2019, the Food Allergy Collaborative is an alliance of advocacy organizations, people living with food allergies, and industry partners who are uniting to advance effective, patient-centered initiatives in food allergy awareness, research, and care. The Food Allergy Collaborative has collaborated on Voice of the Patient Report: Food Allergies, a project that highlights the needs of people living with food allergies.

Little Airways, Big Voices

To bring the voice of patients and caregivers impacted by asthma in childhood to the forefront of drug treatment development and research, AAFA collaborated with other patient groups on the Little Airways, Big Voices project (external link). The purpose of the project is to inform the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other stakeholders about the needs of people living with and managing asthma in childhood. It will help them make decisions as they consider new treatment options. It will also help researchers, clinicians, and drug developers as they look at new areas of research.

No Appetite for Bullying

Kids with Food Allergies (KFA) teamed up with kaléo, the Allergy & Asthma Network, the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Connection Team (FAACT), and Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE) to support the No Appetite for Bullying campaign. To bring attention to this issue and promote greater acceptance of people living with food allergies, KFA joined the No Appetite for Bullying campaign with the goal of creating solutions that foster tolerance and understanding. (KFA is the food allergy division of AAFA.)
