The AAFA St. Louis Chapter serves the city of St. Louis and the counties of St. Louis, St. Charles and Jefferson. We also serve Madison and St. Clair counties in Illinois. We provide children with asthma and allergies life-saving medications, equipment, education and support. Our flagship program, BREATH (formerly Project Concern) was created to help fulfill that need.
Our chapter played a key role in passing laws allowing school nurses to keep rescue medications on-hand for children with asthma. We now offer nebulizers, tubing, spacers, peak flow meters and asthma rescue medication to eligible schools in our area.
Here are just a few programs we offer:
AAFA St. Louis hosts Food Allergy 101 meetings to help families understand food allergies at work, schools, restaurants and home.
We also hold an annual trivia night with food, games and a silent auction. Proceeds support our life-saving programs.
AAFA St. Louis publishes INSPIRATION. This print newsletter highlights news, events and tips.
