The AAFA New England Chapter serves Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont residents affected by asthma and allergies. We serve patients of all ages. Also, we provide resources for healthcare professionals, caregivers, teachers and childcare providers. We work with our communities to make them better for those with allergies and asthma.
New England has one of the highest asthma rates in the country. One in nine people have the disease. Also, one in five suffers from allergies. We offer services to help people learn about treatment and how to prevent emergencies.
Here are just a few programs we offer:
AAFA New England holds an annual fundraiser, “For Life Without Limits Fall Gala.” The event features great food, fun and a silent auction.
We also host an annual concert featuring Kyle Dine. Dine is a singer and songwriter who writes songs for children with food allergies. These songs offer empowerment, support and education.
AAFA New England also sponsors outings to peanut-allergy-friendly baseball games.
AAFA New England publishes the Asthma & Allergy BULLETIN. This newsletter for members features information from doctors, personal stories, book reviews and more.
